MV Emperor Echo

Emperor Echo is the newest addition to the popular and great-value Emperor fleet of liveaboards in The Red Sea. Totally refurbished in 2015, the boat can comfortably accommodate up to 25 lucky guests in 11 twin cabins, one double and one single. All cabins have individually-controlled air conditioning & private bathrooms. At 31 metres long & nearly 8 metres wide, it has plenty of space for its guests but is also easily manoeuvred around some of the best dive sites in The Red Sea. Park fees are included in the prices, and with free Nitrox, Wi-Fi and red wine served with dinner this is an excellent-value Egypt liveaboard, and very popular.

There is a large sun deck with plenty of soft areas to relax on, maybe to top up a tan, enjoy the stunning views at sunrise & sunset, or gaze at the clear star-filled sky. On the upper deck there is a mini sundeck at the front and a large socialising area at the rear. This area is shaded and has plenty of comfortable seating. Guests generally spend time here between dives, enjoying the sea breeze and maybe some evening drinks. And if it gets a bit hot or rains, you can just step into the stylish air-conditioned lounge saloon that has lots of sofas & chairs and a large multimedia tv system that is often used for showing dive movies or for detailed briefings by the team. There are also three guest cabins on the upper deck, which are two twins and the double, which has great sea views from its many windows.

The main deck on Emperor Echo has three twin-bed guest cabins that are located in front of the beautifully-decorated dining area. Here, all guests can sit comfortably and enjoy exquisite meals, desserts and snacks. There is even red wine served for free at dinner times. Don’t expect to lose any weight during your week on Echo. Diving is hungry work and there is plenty of delicious food to keep everyone happy. At the rear of Echo’s main deck is a large diving area, which is well designed using quality materials & equipment. Two tender dinghies are on call, and the team focus on efficient safety, and enjoyable diving cruises.

Finally, the lower deck of Emperor Echo has six more standard twin-bed guest cabins. All guests are provided with two cabin towels, a deck towel and a bathrobe. This boat is built and maintained to a very high standard and its prices are extremely competitive, making it very popular, especially with diving clubs who often charter the whole boat. Therefore, it’s important to book early, which can also give you a special deal.

Prices & Schedule

There are several itineraries on Emperor Echo, and most sail from and return to Port Ghalib, Marsa Alam. Please carefully select an itinerary from the list below that matches your chosen trip on the schedule. On nearly all trips, the first and final nights are spent on board in the harbour. This enables you to arrive by plane, travel directly to the boat, recover from jetlag before diving, and to safely fly after disembarkation on the final day.
