MY Blue Force 2

MY Blue Force 2 is an Egyptian Red Sea liveaboard with a difference. Not only is it slightly smaller & more personal than some other liveaboards in The Red Sea, it sails from Sharm El Sheikh, which gives you more flight options, and better choice of land-based activities.

Blue Force 2 follows a similar design pattern for Red Sea diving liveaboards. The boat has four decks, with guest cabins on two. There are outdoor places to relax in the sun or shade on two upper decks, plus an air-conditioned lounge saloon. All cabins are for two guests, with air-conditioning & private bathrooms as standard. Up top, there is a large sundeck that has loungers for sun worshippers, plus a comfortable shaded seating area with plenty of space for a large group to socialise with the best views. Moving down to the upper deck, there is another socialising area, with more sofas & a bar, plus four guest cabins. The guest cabins on this upper deck have large windows. There’s also another small sofa area at the front of the upper deck ideal for sun lovers.

The middle deck of Blue Force 2 is split into two areas. The rear of the boat has a large dive deck, with plenty of well-organised space for equipment and for divers to move around safely, even wearing gear & fins. Most of this middle deck is an air-conditioned indoor communal area. The large lounge saloon is elegant & spacious, and separated into dining towards the front, and at the rear there’s a lounge with sofas, flat-screen television and a library of books & videos. Here you will also find the staircase that leads down to the ‘cabin deck’. The ‘cabin deck’ has five twin cabins, offering the best value Red Sea liveaboard safaris. Each has two single beds, plus air conditioning & private bathroom.

The boat uses tender dinghies as support vessels for diving, plus there’s a whole range of up-to-date safety and communication equipment. The team are professional, helpful & friendly. This includes from the boat boys to the cruise leader, and especially the kitchen team, who serve up delicious meals several times every day. And between meals there are always snacks & fruits available. Don’t expect to lose any weight on your trip!

Blue Force 2 offers two itineraries, both out of Sharm El Sheikh. The ‘North Route’ is seven nights, with five full diving days at The Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohamed, and some world-famous wrecks. Then you have a day in Sharm El Sheikh to ‘off gas,’ before sleeping on board for the final night. The ‘Reefs & Wrecks’ itinerary is eight nights, with six full diving days plus the final night in a luxury hotel.

Prices & Schedule

There are two itineraries on Blue Force 2 departing from & returning to Sharm El Sheikh.

The Reefs & Wrecks route is 8 nights & 6 diving days, and the North Route is 7 nights, with 5 diving days.

Please note that the boat stays in the harbour on the first & final nights of each cruise, and guests on Reef & Wreck trips are transferred to a local luxury hotel for the final night to enable the team to offer 8-night trips every week.
