MY Blue Pearl

MY Blue Pearl is 36 metres long & 8 metres wide, with 10 comfortable guest cabins. Before being launched in 2004, the boat was designed specifically for scuba diving liveaboard cruises. There are lots of communal areas to relax in the shade or in the sun, and indoors. It’s run by a professional team who offer cruises to all of the best dive sites in The Red Sea, and they are experienced around the whole area.

Starting at the top of the boat, there’s a ‘fly bridge’ where the boat can be controlled and here there is a partially shaded sun deck with plenty of cushioned seating & sun loungers. Next is the boat’s upper deck, which has two double-bed guest cabins, a sun deck at the front, and at the rear is where you are likely to spend a lot of your time on board. Here there’s a half-covered dining and relaxation area. There are tables, sofas & bean bags, and plenty of space for guests to relax or socialise in large and small groups. Some prefer their view shaded from the sun, and others like to really feel outdoors. This ‘upper deck bar area’ has it all. The two double guest cabins on the upper deck have a large bed for couples, a large window, air conditioning and a private bathroom.

The main deck of Blue Pearl is where the delicious meals are served. Here the boat has an air-conditioned lounge saloon & dining room. With large windows all round this room has an airy feel, and tasteful décor. At the rear of the main deck is the dive platform, which is well designed & laid out. The non-slip floor enables divers to walk around safely from their personal tank station to the rear of the boat ready to jump in. Blue Pearl has a complete set of safety equipment, in addition to the compressors and Nitrox membrane. Don’t forget that Nitrox is available for free to certified divers, and those who aren’t certified can do the course on board if they choose. Finally, there are eight twin-bed guest cabins on the boat’s lower deck. Each has air conditioning, a private en suite bathroom, and plenty of storage space for luggage & personal items.

Blue Pearl’s week-long trips begin on Thursday evenings, when guests arrive from local airports or hotels and check in. For several reasons the boat stays in the harbour the first night and then sets sail in the morning, offering up to four dives on some days. The 7D/7N itineraries are planned to enable you to come straight from the airport to the boat, and directly from the boat to the airport without having to off-gas for one night in a hotel. The team are always on hand to offer help and advice or served great food! The boat was designed by divers, for divers, and the dive staff and crew are all experienced in The Red Sea.

There are several itineraries on M/Y Blue Pearl. Please carefully select an itinerary from your chosen trip on the schedule. Nearly all trips start on Thursdays, and are seven days & nights in duration.
