MY Sea Legend

MY Sea Legend is a large, purpose-built Red Sea liveaboard that runs out of Hurghada, Port Ghalib & Marsa Alam. At 42 metres in length with a steel hull, it can easily & smoothly sail to all of the best dive sites in The Red Sea. Up to 32 guests relax in twin & double cabins, with plenty of communal areas to enjoy the view, the sea breeze and the company of others. There are four passenger decks on Sea Legend. Starting at the top deck, behind the captain’s bridge is a large sundeck area with relaxing loungers, and a small bar. The boat’s upper deck is where you are likely to spend most of your time. There is a sunbathing area at the front, then two honeymoon suites & twin-bed cabins, which have doors that open out onto the deck. Behind these cabins is the indoor lounge saloon that has air-conditioning and lots of comfortable chairs & sofas. Here you can enjoy a movie, dive briefings or just take a break from the sun. At the rear of the upper deck is another sundeck area with loungers, beanbags, small tables and a minibar.

Sea Legend’s main deck has four twin-bed guest cabins at the front, and the large & luxurious dining room in the middle. Here you can enjoy large portions of sumptuous food from around the world. Don’t expect to lose any weight during your week on Sea Legend! Behind the dining room is the huge dive deck that is well designed & organised. Each diver has his/her own tank slot plus a box for ancillary items. The floor is non-slip and there are bathrooms and drinking water, plus places to hang wetsuits to dry. The compressor works almost silently to fill tanks with air or Nitrox. Diving can be done from the rear of this deck or by Zodiac tender dinghy.

There are eight twin cabins on the boat’s lower deck, and these offer the best value. All cabins on Sea Legend are for maximum two guests, and have independently-controlled air conditioning, a private bathroom, shelves, storage and a mini-fridge.

The trips on MY Sea Legend normally start on a Saturday evening, and you leave the boat the following Saturday morning. Guests arriving late or needing to leave early can do so, because the boat normally stays in the harbour for the first night, departing on the Sunday morning. And it gets back on Friday afternoon at the end of each trip, and guests sleep on board in the harbour. Trips go to all the best Red Sea diving areas, and include wrecks and reefs. Some trips focus on the north, with Ras Mohamed & the best wrecks. Several of these also include visiting The Brothers. There are also trips to The Big Three, which is The Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone.

Prices & Schedule

There are several itineraries on Sea Legend. Please carefully select an itinerary from the list below that matches your chosen trip on the schedule. All trips are seven days & seven nights, usually starting on a Saturday evening, with disembarkation the following Saturday morning. Due to Egyptian law, the boats remain in the harbour on the first and final nights, only sailing during the daytime. Expect up to four dives per day Monday to Thursday, and 2-3 dives on Sunday & Friday.
