MY Sea Serpent Excellence

Sea Serpent Excellence is a mid-range Red Sea liveaboard that is run by a very experienced team and has a good choice of cabins and itineraries. Nitrox is available for free, and there's wi-fi when in range. Up to 24 lucky guests can enjoy week-long diving cruises around the best reefs of the southern Red Sea. The boat is very popular with diving groups for a full charter, but you're welcome to join alone, in couples, as friends or as families.

On the lower deck of the boat there are eight standard twin cabins, which are well appointed with air conditioning, storage space, porthole windows, and a private en suite bathroom. If you join alone, the team will only pair you up with a cabin mate of the same gender. The main deck of Sea Serpent Excellence is all communal areas. Most of the deck is the large air-conditioned dining room and lounge area. Lots of large windows let in plenty of natural light, so that you can dine on delicious food with a great view. Meals are served buffet style throughout the trip, with a wonderful blend of local & western cuisine. You won't go hungry on Sea Serpent Excellence! Adjoining the dining room is a lounge area with sofas and a large flat-screen tv for watching diving videos, or maybe a Hollywood movie. At the rear of the main deck is an expansive diving platform where each diver gets their own tank slot and storage boxes. Nitrox is available for free, and the tanks are filled almost silently between dives. There are tender dinghies (zodiacs) to collect divers after each dive, and sometimes to drop them off right above the reef.

Sea Serpent Excellence's upper deck has four guest cabins, which are three doubles and a twin. These cabins have a large window to let in lots of light and give a great view of the Red Sea. Like the lower deck cabins, there's plenty of storage space and a private bathroom. Behind the upper deck cabins is a large partly-shaded relaxation area with soft seating and great views. There's a self service bar, and a staircase up to the sundeck (fly deck). At the front of the upper deck you have a large circular area with sun loungers and unbeatable views. Then the sundeck has even more soft seating and sun loungers. This area is very popular early in the morning and in the evening.

The crew and dive staff are all diligent, service minded and experienced in the itineraries and dive sites. Safety always comes first, closely followed by relaxing fun and of course world-class diving.

Prices & Schedule

Sea Serpent Excellence trips start every Thursday. Guests are collected from local hotels/airports and brought on board in the early evening.

On Friday morning the boat leaves the marina and you get two (sometimes three) local dives.

Saturday to Tuesday are full diving days with three or four dives, depending in the boat's location.

On Wednesday you get up to two dives in the morning, then the boat sails back to land while scuba gear dries.

You spend Wednesday night on the boat in the marina (or sometimes in a local hotel).

On Thursday morning soon after breakfast the team transfers guests to local hotels/airports.
