Launched in 2022, Komodo Sea Dragon is possibly the best option for diving liveaboard cruises into the Komodo National Marine Park. The professional team offer a great service on a luxurious boat. And, in a similar style to Maldives liveaboards, there is a separate boat for diving, that follows the main boat. This enables every inch of the liveaboard to be designed for relaxing in communal areas or in your luxurious cabin. Another thing that makes this boat different to most other Komodo liveaboards is that the guest cabins are all on the main or upper decks, ensuring stunning views and a better night's sleep.
The boat also has an air-conditioned lounge saloon, where you can relax in comfort to watch a movie, read a book (from the boat's library), or just relax with other guests. Dining, on the delicious food served all day every day, can be done in air-conditioned comfort, or out on deck. The crew quarters and kitchen are all below deck, ensuring that guests enjoy the maximum comfort and convenience at all times.
Komodo Sea Dragon is 35 metres long and 8 metres wide. This large size ensures that there's plenty of space to relax alone, in couples or with other guests. It also enables for safe and comfortable sailing, even if there are choppy seas. And don't forget that the diving equipment, compressor, and wet areas are all on the support boat, that follows Komodo Sea Dragon to each dive spot. Accommodating just 12 guests, you will not be disappointed with the amount and quality of space on board this wonderful boat.
No more than twelve lucky guests stay in six luxurious cabins on Komodo Sea Dragon. There are four double cabins and two twin cabins. All come with independently-controlled air conditioning, private en suite bathrooms, and windows that open out to the ocean, and each double cabin has its own private balcony. On the upper deck there are two double cabins, and the two twin cabins. Then on the main deck are two more double cabins, and the air-conditioned and outdoor communal dining areas. At the front of the upper deck is a large sundeck, with plenty of sun loungers.
Komodo Sea Dragon is so comfortable, that you could be forgiven for not wanting to leave the boat to go diving! But the Komodo National Marine Park offers some of the best diving in the world, especially from June to September. The team plan the itinerary to perfectly match sea & weather conditions, the expectancy and experience of the guests, and to avoid crowded dive sites. The support boat has its own dinghy, so that entry and exit from each dive is safe and convenient. You can also enjoy kayaking, snorkelling and treks to see the famous Komodo Dragons during each cruise. And when in range, the boat offers free 4G Wi-Fi to all guests.
Of course, Komodo Sea Dragon is fully fitted with all the latest safety & navigation equipment, to ensure that everything runs to schedule and without risk. This includes life jackets, life rafts, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and more. They even make sure that every diver is wearing a Nautilus Lifeline Marine Rescue GPS transmitter, just in case. Whether you're diving, sleeping, kayaking, eating, drinking or reading a book, your whole time on Komodo Sea Dragon is guaranteed to be one you will never forget.
