Purpose built in 2018 for trips in The Red Sea, and now moving to The Maldives, Blue Force is possibly the perfect scuba diving liveaboard. The ship is 42 metres long, and accommodates up to 26 lucky guests in twelve wonderful cabins. It's difficult to know where to start when describing this wonderful boat, such is its luxury.
The uppermost deck has a large shaded area with soft sofas and coffee tables, plus a sunbathing area behind. There's another large sunbathing area at the front of the upper deck, too. Blue Force 3's upper deck has four guest cabins, and a wonderful bar and outdoor lounge. Surely this is the best place to enjoy evening drinks or morning coffee, while taking in the scenic views and cool sea breeze.
The main deck is home to the huge indoor communal areas, which include a restaurant (dining room) and lounge saloon. Such is the size and stability of Blue Force 3 that when dining or relaxing in here, it's easy to forget you're on a boat. In front of the main deck are two guest cabins, and at the rear is a huge diving deck. Finally, the lower deck is accessed by an indoor staircase from the lounge saloon. Here there are six guest cabins, two of which accommodate three guests and the other four cabins accommodate two guests.
In total, there are twelve guest cabins in the boat. Ten of these are designed for just two guests, and most are suitable for couples or friends, or sharing solo guests. The two triple-bed cabins on the lower deck can sleep up to three guests, in separate beds. All cabins have independently-controlled air conditioning, a private bathroom and storage space.
This boat was very successful and popular during its first few years of service in the Red Sea, but in reality it is better suited to more-luxurious cruises and at better diving locations. Therefore, from 2023 the boat is cruising the central and southern atolls of what many argue is the best country in the world for scuba diving: The Maldives

Itinerary
Most itineraries are 7 days and 7 nights in length, and they usually include 18 dives.
Guests arrive at Male International Airport (or Koodoo or Gan, Addu for some trips) during the day and the team transfers them to the liveaboard, via the transfer & dving boat (dhoni).
On the first day there is usually no diving, and the boat stays in the harbour.
The diving starts the following morning and the first dive is always easy, as a check dive to ensure everyone is comfortable and their gear works & fits.
There are usually 3 dives per day for 5 days, and 1-2 dives on the final full day, as the boat sails back to the harbour. You sleep on board that night.
Then early in the morning on the final day guests disembark and are taken to the airport. Due to the planned itinerary of dives, it's usually safe to fly mid-morning the day you leave the boat.
Below is a list of itineraries for Blue Force 3, and you can also click on 'show itinerary' on each trip of the schedule.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

Courses
Nearly every guest who joins Blue Force 3's cruises is already a certified diver, and most are experienced. However, if you are interested in taking part in any diving course during the trip, please contact us directly.
Many of the dives include going deeper than 18 metres, so it's good to be certified to 30m/99ft. (PADI Advanced or similar) to enjoy all of the dives during the trip.
Diving at the better dive sites of The Maldives nearly always involves medium to strong currents.
Transfer details
The Blue Force team collect guests from the nearest airport during the afternoon of departure day and take them directly to the liveaboard.
At the end of the trip, guests disembark early in the morning and are safe to usually fly by 11am. The team transfers everyone back to the nearest airport free of charge.
If your flight lands early or late and you can't meet the team's scheduled transfer time, we can normally help with a private transfer to meet your needs.
