Blue Force One is a purpose-built luxury Maldives liveaboard that offers a great choice of cabins & several itineraries during the year. There are two outdoor Jacuzzis, plenty of indoor & outdoor communal areas, and a huge & luxurious lounge. With the diving done from the support boat, every square inch of Blue Force One is dedicated to the comfort & convenience of up to just 22 lucky guests.
Focussing on space & comfort, the boat is designed to ensure that every guest can enjoy every minute of the trip. There is always somewhere available to relax in private or socialise with others. This includes outside in the sun or shade, or inside with elegant décor & climate-controlled air conditioning. Trips are one week in length, but time will fly by, such is the luxury available and of course the world-class diving on offer.
Blue Force One has 11 guest cabins over three decks. All of them have independently-controlled air-conditioning, private bathrooms, hair dryer & mini safe. Even the best-value cabins are large enough to be the envy of guests on other Maldives dive liveaboard yachts. On the boat’s upper deck there is a Junior Suite and a Deluxe Twin cabin. The Junior Suite has a large double bed, plus a single bed, a large window with an ocean view, a dressing table & a flat-screen television. The Deluxe Twin cabin is the only guest cabin that doesn’t have a television, but it compensates for this with a large ocean-view window. The single beds are arranged perfectly for two solo guests, or friends. On the lower deck of Blue Force One, there are six Deluxe Cabins & one Master Cabin. The Deluxe Cabins have a double & a single bed, ideal for couples, friends or solo guests. At the front of the lower deck, the large Master Cabin has a queen-size bed and a small sofa. And finally, the best cabins on the boat are the two Master Suites at the front of the main deck. These huge cabins have three large ocean-view windows, a sofa, dressing table, queen-size bed, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi & shower. Access to the Master Suites is via the lounge saloon.
Communal areas on Blue Force One include sunbathing areas with Jacuzzis on the top deck and at the front of the upper deck, a shaded outdoor bar at the rear of the upper deck, a dining area at the rear of the main deck, and the magnificent lounge saloon. There really is so much choice that deciding where to relax can be difficult. During the daytime, sun worshippers will love the sunbathing areas & Jacuzzis. Meals are served at the rear of the main deck, giving great views and shelter at the same time. And then there’s deciding where to spend the evening. The upper-deck bar is large, and beautifully designed. The sofas & bar stools enable you to relax or socialise while enjoying the sea breeze. But the lounge saloon on the main deck is also very enticing. A huge television, lots of sofas & armchairs, the bar and beautiful décor all add up to make the most-inviting lounge on any liveaboard in the world. Luckily, you get seven nights on board, meaning you can enjoy each area several times during your cruise.
But of course you come for the scuba diving, and Blue Force One doesn’t disappoint here either. Most of the year the boat offers cruises around the central atolls, but in the spring there are trips into the south. This is the best time of year to explore the southern atolls. Diving is done from the support dhoni, which is the boat that follows Blue Force One, and here the dive equipment is stored & tanks are filled. There are kayaks & SUPs available, and on some trips they try to include snorkelling with Whale Sharks!
New for August 2021, Blue Force One now has Mares Horizon SCR semi-closed rebreather facilities. Already-certified Horizon divers can jump on and join dives of up to two hours, with a Blue Force One guide. If you're not already certified, you can enjoy a try dive, or complete the first level course on board.
The team are all very experienced in Maldivian waters, and they are always on hand to help & serve. This includes the whole crew, especially the team of chefs who serve simply-delicious meals several times each day. Don’t expect to lose any weight during your cruise!

Itinerary
There are several itineraries on Blue Force One. Most of the year the boat is around the Central Atolls, departing from & returning to Malé then for February & March it is based in the south. Its journeys south and back to the centre are ‘crossing trips’ that require one domestic flight.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.
