NOTICE : As of 2021 diving liveaboards are unable to sail into Myanmar for scuba diving cruises. This boat is currently only sailing in Thailand, but will return to Myanmar as soon as possible.
Bunmee 4 is a new & comfortable boat that is ideally suited for week-long diving trips into Myanmar. Built in 2016 with a steel hull and 28 metres long, Bunmee 4 is easily large enough to provide comfortable cruises into Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago. There are twin & double cabins with private & shared bathrooms, and plenty of places to relax alone, in couples or in sociable groups. In addition, the team are very experienced in liveaboard cruises into Burma (Myanmar).
Starting at the top, Bunmee 4 has a large sundeck on the roof which is partially shaded. Therefore, you can enjoy the stunning views of the mostly-unexplored Mergui Archipelago while topping up your tan or sheltering from the weather. This is also a very popular place at night time, gazing at the clear star-filled night in total peace.
Bunmee 4’s upper deck has 2 guest cabins which share a bathroom. These cabins can be configured as twins (two single beds) or doubles for couples. At the rear of the upper deck is where most guests spend much of their non-diving time. The shaded communal area is where you can relax with others, where the detailed dive briefings are held (with multimedia on the large tv), and where the delicious food is served.
The main deck has eight guest cabins which also can be set up as doubles or twins. These cabins have private bathrooms. At the rear of the main deck is the diving area, where the gear is set up, tanks filled, and the large dive platform is located. Divers normally enter the water from the dive platform and return directly at the end of each dive, but there’s a motorized tender dinghy on hand to collect divers who surface further away or near a reef.
The itineraries into Myanmar ensure plenty of opportunities to get to know each other. On the first day you set sail from within Thailand and cruise through the night before passing immigration in the morning. Then after up to 20 dives, on the final day you return to Thailand and sail through the afternoon and evening and disembark the following morning. The food is simply delicious, with a blend of local and Western cuisine served buffet style. Some meals can be pre ordered and with notice dietary needs can be catered for.
All cabins have windows and air-conditioning, plus most have a safety deposit box. The boat has a full and up-to-date set of safety, navigation and communication facilities, and (when in range) there’s free Wi-Fi. All in all, this is a great choice of boat for your next diving cruise into Myanmar.
