MC Sundancer

Sundancer is a fast & comfortable diving catamaran designed for safe diving day trips to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon & Koh Tachai. There is plenty of room on board for all guests & staff. Everyone can relax in comfort while speeding across the waves, thanks to its twin-hull design. Unlike a speedboat that bounces on waves and can rock from side to side, this is a catamaran that stays much more level than speedboats, but can still go as fast. And during lunchtime the boat's design prevents it from rocking like a small speedboat, allowing you to better enjoy lunch and the view.

During the trip, you can enjoy tasty breakfast prepared in the morning on the way out, a delicious lunch between dives, and afternoon snacks on the way back. Soft drinks, & fruit are available for free. The boat has a lounge saloon, plenty of places to relax outside and a well-designed diving platform. 

The boat departs from Khao Lak’s Tab Lamu Pier. On most days, there are two dives, but most Tuesdays the boat goes out for a three-dive trip. It needs to leave a bit earlier in the morning for a special trip visiting Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Premchai Wreck. Most of the rest of the week Sundancer sails to the Similan Islands with pristine beaches, which means that these trips are ideal for snorkellers and divers who want visit a beach between dives.

Sundancer is run by an experienced team of western Europeans who like to ensure that everything goes to plan. Free local transfers from hotels around Khao Lak are included in the prices, and high-quality diving equipment is available for rent. Prices & Schedule

MC Sundancer guests need to stay in Khao Lak the night before departure. Ideally, guests 'check in' at one of the boat's several Khao Lak offices, but if this is not possible, check in can be done on the phone.

The weekly schedule before Covid was as follows, and the team plan to continue this for the 2022-2023 season.

Wednesdays-Mondays*, Sundancer guests are collected from Khao Lak hotels 7.00-8.15am and taken to Tab Lamu Pier.

Breakfast is served on board, as Sundancer cruises to the dive sites.

2 dives, with lunch served during the surface interval. Beach visits are possible on Most days, but not Tuesdays or Saturdays.

Sundancer returns to Tab Lamu Pier and guests are transferred back to hotels around Khao Lak approximately 5pm.

*On Tuesdays the schedule begins an hour earlier, and there are 3 dives.
