From the family Solenostomidae, genus Solenostomus, the Ornate Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus) is an exquisite species, found in many parts of the Indo-Pacific region. There are currently six recognised species in the family, although more may yet be discovered. They are cousins of the Seahorses, and classified as bony fish. As masters of disguise, camouflaging among sea fans, they are very hard to spot, even if you know where to look or you are even having one pointed out to you.
